Spinning Our Wheels

Tarp Surfing

Ignore the fact that this is a mountain dew commercial. Or try to. I like this concept of "tarp surfing," looks like a fun way to mess around with friends during the summer... man i miss summer.

Wikileaks Bunker

Does anyone else LOVE the fact that wikileaks headquarters was designed from inspiration of 1960s futuristic James Bond sets? This is so freaking awesome, not too mention their "backup generators" are two old German submarine engines... I want to work there now. Saw it here.

London Riots

Storm

Saw this freerunning video and think its pretty sweet, although it could do without the stupid poses after some of the moves.

Maybe One Morning

A simple film uploaded by Mario Brioschi on Vimeo. I like the quick break down into the making of at the end. I always wonder how they add some of the effects. There's a little poem that goes with it that I find ties it together.

Maybe one Morning from mario brioschi on Vimeo.

"Maybe one morning, walking in dry, glassy air,
I’ll turn, and see the miracle occur:
nothing at my back, the void
behind me, with a drunkard’s terror.

then, as if on a screen, trees houses hills
will suddenly collect for the usual illusion.
But it will be too late; and I’ll walk on silent
among the men who don’t look back, with my secret."

Life Cycles

I had a chance to watch this movie the other day. If you get a chance, watch it. I highly recommend it. This movie has the same caliber filming as Life or Planet Earth; the HD is mind blowing. Apparently it took 3 years of filming, and it definitely raises the bar for action sport movies. You'll want to expand this one to full screen.

Bones

Heres a video I'm stealing from some friends at notfb.blogspot.com.

I don't know what it is but I've watched it a couple times now and I love it. It's a catchy song that hits you in the right place if you're having a bad day. This song is pretty mellow compared to what I'm used to listening to, but the video gives it so much energy. I just want to jump in the middle of them, throw stuff around and get crazy, all in slow motion.

Pete Devries

A clip I found of Pete Devries who put Canada on the map in 2009 by winning the O'Neil Cold Water Classic Canada in his home town of tofino. This particular clip was filmed in one session on November 12th. Simply amazing.

Shooting Guns

Everyone Forever Now - "Shooting a Gun" from Everynone on Vimeo.

I still think it's crazy. "Zen of shooting guns," kind of an oxymoron isn't it?
